Big expectations for this follow-up, and, indeed, the original — but he’s not saying anything new. I was really hoping the author would identify the ‘gas-lighting’, but his argument is just another part of it. There is no content here, and no message beyond the normal self-help bullshit. Also: we’ve had ‘green’ products for decades with the social responsibility built-in, i.e., you pay a bit more to feel good about participating in a wasteful system of over-consumption that tortures the Earth. This may be the ‘Dark Night of the Soul’, sure, but we’re not characters in a movie. This is really happening.
